Pugapoo Dog

The Pugapoo is a crossbreed variety of dog. This unique hybrid is the result of crossing a Poodle and a Pug. It is hard to predict which characteristics will dominate. The approximate adult size (two years old or older) of either the male or female is 6 to 14 inches. The weight of an adult Pugapoo could range between 8 and 18 pounds with Life Expectancy of 10-12 years. The Pugapoos comes in a range of colors - white, black, sable and patterned coats.

The coat of Pugapoo will vary from the short coat of the Pug to the softer, curly coat of the Poodle. Its body may have an average shape or it may have a square build.

It is usually a very lively breed. Pugs are intelligent and good natured dogs that enjoy the company of people and take well to training. They are often at their very best with children, as their intelligence, sensitivity, desire to please, and astonishing capacity for play make them excellent companions for children. The Poodle is very intelligent and loves to be around people.

The Pugapoo is known to exhibit a willful nature at times, which may make training one a frustrating experience for the less-than-patient trainer. Prospective owners should have a sense of humor and be willing to enjoy & tackle their mischievous behavior.
The Mother has an average of 3-8 Pugapoo Puppies.

Regular brushing will help maintain a clean and healthy coat. Pugapoos may display the skin folds common to the pug and these folds must examined and cleaned on a regular basis.

The Pugapoo is an indoor breed. In addition to enjoying being inside with its family, this breed is also active indoors. The Pugapoo is typically a high-energy breed. However, it usually will obtain the exercise it needs on its own.
